WELCOME TO THE HONDA FUEL PUMPS
SETTLEMENT WEBSITE
IF YOU OWN OR LEASE OR PREVIOUSLY OWNED OR LEASED CERTAIN HONDA OR ACURA VEHICLES, YOU COULD GET BENEFITS FROM A CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT.
Para informacion en Español, haga clic aquí.
A proposed settlement has been preliminarily approved by the court in a class action lawsuit against American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (“Honda”), and Denso International America, Inc. (“Denso”), concerning certain Honda and Acura vehicles equipped with low-pressure fuel pumps manufactured by Denso (“Covered Vehicles”). If you are included in the Settlement, you have legal rights and options and deadlines by which you must exercise them.
You are included in the Settlement if you own(ed), purchase(d) or lease(d) a Covered Vehicle. You can use a VIN-lookup tool here to determine if your vehicle is a Covered Vehicle.
The Settlement offers several benefits, depending on the vehicle, including a limited warranty for repairs to correct defects in the low-pressure fuel pumps, complimentary towing and loaner vehicles, reimbursement of certain out-of-pocket expenses, a reconsideration procedure, and settlement oversight by a Settlement Special Master. These benefits are described in more detail below and in the Settlement Agreement.
Please read this Notice carefully. Your legal rights are affected, whether you act or do not act. The Court still has to decide whether to finally approve the Settlement. We do not know if or when the court will do so or whether there will be any appeals that would have to be resolved in favor of the Settlement before certain benefits would be provided. You are encouraged to periodically check this website, because it will be updated with additional information from time to time.

SUMMARY OF YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OPTIONS
BENEFIT FROM THE LIMITED WARRANTY
- Honda will provide limited warranty coverage for all low-pressure Denso fuel pumps in Covered Vehicles, including those installed as part of a recall (“Limited Warranty”).
- The Limited Warranty will last for fifteen (15) years, measured from the In-Service Date of the Covered Vehicle, or up to 150,000 total miles, whichever comes first. For any Covered Vehicle that already exceeds fifteen (15) years or 150,000 total miles as of the Final Effective Date, the Limited Warranty will last for ninety (90) days from the Final Effective Date. Any Fuel Pumps installed during this ninety (90) day period shall continue to be covered under Honda’s one (1) year genuine replacement parts warranty.
You do not need to do anything to receive the Limited Warranty.
SEEK COVERAGE UNDER THE LOANER/TOWING PROGRAM
- If you own or lease a Covered Vehicle that is having its low-pressure fuel pump repaired under the Limited Warranty, you are entitled to receive a complimentary loaner vehicle upon reasonable notice to your Honda or Acura dealer, and/or a complimentary tow to the nearest Honda or Acura dealer upon reasonable notice, if your vehicle is inoperable or exhibiting a dangerous condition.
- If you have a reasonable need to do so, you may keep the loaner vehicle for up to 24 hours after you drop off your vehicle for repair, or after you are informed by your dealer that your vehicle is repaired, whichever is later. In appropriate circumstances, when you have a need for a loaner or rental vehicle similar to the Covered Vehicle, Honda, through its dealers, shall use good faith efforts to satisfy the request.
The Loaner/Towing Program is available during the Limited Warranty.
You do not need to do anything at this time.
FILE A CLAIM FOR REIMBURSEMENT
- You may submit a Claim Form for reimbursement of reasonable, previously paid out-of-pocket expenses incurred to repair or replace the low-pressure fuel pump in a Covered Vehicle that were not otherwise reimbursed and that were incurred before the Final Effective Date of the Settlement.
The deadline for filing a Claim Form is ninety (90) days after the Court issues the Final Order and Judgment, which will occur, if approved, after the Final Approval Hearing.
EXCLUDE YOURSELF (“OPT OUT”)
- Ask to exclude yourself (opt out) from the proposed Settlement. You will not receive any of the Settlement benefits, but this is the only option that allows you to keep your right to sue Honda or Denso about the issues in this lawsuit later.
